If you've invested in dahlia tubers and want to learn how we divide, store, and care for our plants through the season, this class is for you! Join us for an educational and interactive workshop at the farm in Abbotsford on Saturday April 1st 2023, from noon - 2 pm. Learn step-by-step how flower farmer and dahlia specialist Amanda McAllister divides, stores, and cares for the specialty dahlia tubers she grows here at Five Acres. This course is suitable for all skill levels, from beginning dahlia gardeners to potential small scale flower growers. You will leave with the hands-on experience to grow the dahlia garden of your dreams.
Space is limited to a maximum of ten students. We have an indoor teaching area but please prepare for spring weather - bring an umbrella, a warm raincoat and boots as you will be outside in our flower fields and the ground is often wet and muddy at this time of year. This is a rain-or-shine event. Workshops will not be rescheduled in case of rain. Workshop sales are final. Tickets are nonrefundable.

I attended the Dahlia Day workshop in Fall 2021. It was AMAZING! Amanda shared her knowledge from prepping the soil at the start of the season, to storing tubers at the end of the season. I picked up hints about tools and vendors that I never thought I needed to know!
