I attended the Dahlia Day workshop in Fall 2021. It was AMAZING! Amanda shared her knowledge from prepping the soil at the start of the season, to storing tubers at the end of the season. I picked up hints about tools and vendors that I never thought I needed to know! I highly recommend Amanda's workshops, and I wouldn't be surprised if I attend one again as I now have a major dahlia tuber investment to take care of! - Sandra
Five Acre Flower Farms' opening line on their website is "Let's grow beautiful things together" and that is exactly what Amanda does. She grows beautiful flowers, she cultivates beautiful experiences with people and she shares her growing knowledge with those who share the same appreciation for growing something beautiful. I had the privilege of attending Amanda's fall dahlia workshop and it blew me away, the abundance of information she shared made me feel confident that I could start my own dahlia garden in the spring!
I will be a long-time attendee of all of Amanda's workshops and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to grow something beautiful! Amanda's flower farm is a true gem in the Fraser Valley and I'm grateful to have met her and experience her flower farm. It truly is a place where beautiful things grow. - Sam

I can’t say enough great things about Amanda and the workshop she hosted this past fall. Amanda’s dahlia workshop was an incredible resource I am so happy I invested in. I gained a wealth of knowledge, from successfully preparing beds, planting, growing, harvesting and storing dahlias, along with all her tips and tricks. I am so appreciative for the time she took to answer all of our questions and providing us with the hands-on experience of learning to divide and store the tubers successfully. Thank you Amanda for sharing your passion of flower farming with all of us. I am excited to share all that I’ve learned and the beauty of flowers with my community! - Krystle
I had the pleasure of attending Amanda‘s fall workshop for digging, dividing and storing dahlia tubers. Amanda was a very welcoming and knowledgable hostess in all aspects of dahlia growing. The workspace was well organized and there were plenty of tools for all the attendees. In addition to the specific workshop topics, Amanda took the time to discuss all things related to growing dahlias, including local suppliers and resources. It was an absolute wonderful afternoon spent with other individuals who share a common passion… growing beautiful dahlias! - Valerie
I thoroughly enjoyed attending Amanda's Fall Dahlia Workshop. I am a home gardener who simply loves dahlias, who wanted to know more about caring for and storing the tubers over winter. The workshop was informative and hands-on, which is great for a beginner like me. The workshop gave me the information I needed to confidently get started on winterizing my dahlias. Amanda has a special way of making everyone feel welcome whether you are a large scale flower farmer or an urban home gardener! Her willingness to share information is amazing and her generosity is evident as she genuinely wants everyone to love and enjoy the flowers as much as she does. As soon as you step onto the property, there is a serene, magical feeling that makes you want to stay longer. Thank you Amanda! - Cathy
