On Saturday, April 11th, from 2pm to 4pm, we're thrilled to have Andrew Couzens from Terra Flora Soilworks join us at Five Acres to teach how to make and use compost tea and compost extracts to feed your soil and plants in your gardens this summer.
Compost tea is a biological reactor that breeds up trillions and trillions of microbes that you can then feed to your plants. Compost extracts also involves incredible numbers of microbes, but instead of hours it can be made in just a few minutes.
Armed with both of these tools you will be able to quickly and dynamically respond to fertility needs in your garden without needing to involve chemicals or sprays!
Andrew is incredibly knowledgeable on all things soil, fertilizing, growing and soil health, and will guide us through the fascinating benefits and uses for compost tea in our gardens.
This workshop will start with a 15 minute presentation followed by hands-on making compost tea and extract, and then a Q+A so you can get all your composting and growing questions answered.
Each person attending must purchase a ticket. The workshop begins at 2pm at 29044 Haverman Road, Abbotsford.
We have a large covered outdoor area in case of rain. Please dress for spring weather. Workshop purchases are nonrefundable.
